Oasis montaj Resistivity and Induced Polarisation (DC-IP) 

Oasis montaj Resistivity and Induced Polarisation (DC-IP) extends Oasis montaj with tools for importing, quality-controlling, and preparing DC resistivity and induced polarisation survey data.

It is used to validate electrode layouts, assess data quality, and organise 2D and 3D DC-IP ground surveys, reducing the risk of errors and rework.
The DC-IP extension is used once survey data has been acquired and works with electrode-based resistivity and IP datasets collected from ground surveys.
The DC-IP extension requires an active Oasis montaj licence and is available as a 12-month named or shared subscription.

Detect common DC-IP data issues, such as incorrect polarity, poor coupling, or inconsistent measurements, before interpretation or inversion is attempted.

  • Import DC‑IP data from common resistivity and IP acquisition systems

  • Support a wide range of electrode arrays and survey configurations for data import, quality control, and visualisation

  • Manage multiple DC‑IP surveys within a single project

DC‑IP data quality control

  • Check for null coupling and coincident transmitter–receiver configurations

  • Identify reverse polarity and inconsistent measurements

  • Average duplicate readings where appropriate

  • Apply user‑defined data range checks to identify outliers or faulty electrodes

  • Visualise contributing electrodes in plan views and 3D views

Survey visualisation and review

  • Display electrode layouts and survey geometry in plan view

  • Generate 2D in‑line pseudosections for resistivity and induced polarisation responses

  • Visualise distributed array surveys in pseudo‑spaces to support review and validation

Preparation for interpretation and inversion

  • Calculate apparent resistivity and related derived values

  • Integrate georeferencing and topographic information into datasets

  • Organise DC‑IP data so it is ready for interpretation or inversion
