We have our foundations in data modelling – initially in the medical sciences. When we applied our skills to geological data, ARANZ Geo was born.

As our products have developed we have considered the potential of our business to reach beyond modelling and solve the problems the models were needed for in the first place. Namely to support better operational decisions, to communicate across teams, to engage with stakeholders and communities, and to help businesses maximise data potential.

We’ve been making world-class modelling software for over 10 years, but we also see beyond just the model. We see the industries we serve in a bigger context and see new possibilities in the areas of earth, the environment and energy. We’ve renamed ourselves Seequent to fit this vision.  It does not signal a departure from what we do best, it more accurately reflects who we are now.

In the video below, our COO Graham Grant shares our vision with customers at Lyceum 2017, a customer-focused roadshow event hosted by our senior leaders and technical experts.

He explains,  “The pace of business is changing and it’s very clear that our customers are demanding more and demanding more of us, so we know that we have to demand more of ourselves. Our response is to raise our game.”
