[00:00:02.030]<v Stephen>Welcome and thank you very much for joining us</v>

[00:00:04.310]in today’s feature presentation of Central 3.1.

[00:00:08.950]My name is Steven Donovan

[00:00:10.500]and I’m the Central Technical Specialist

[00:00:12.390]here in north America and your host for today.

[00:00:16.380]Central 3.1 is a major milestone for Seequent.

[00:00:19.510]As we introduce a range of new features

[00:00:21.440]that are aimed to bring your team closer together,

[00:00:24.480]communication in real time

[00:00:25.950]is key to keeping on top of your current projects

[00:00:28.820]and making robust decisions when it matters the most.

[00:00:32.450]However, working remotely

[00:00:33.980]has completely changed everyone’s communicative landscape

[00:00:37.340]and impacts when updates are received

[00:00:39.330]and the way information is accessed.

[00:00:42.300]If you’re a project manager

[00:00:43.770]who reviews several site models simultaneously,

[00:00:46.920]or if you work depends on the latest model

[00:00:49.280]or drilling update from your colleagues,

[00:00:51.030]consultants or joint venture partners,

[00:00:53.850]then you need to be in the know as soon as a change occurs.

[00:00:56.750]Central 3.1 now incorporates a new notification system

[00:01:00.980]that allows you and your team to be informed in real time

[00:01:04.720]on project-specific events.

[00:01:07.090]Unfortunately, working in silos is quite common

[00:01:09.470]in our industry.

[00:01:10.850]Different geoscientific disciplines tend

[00:01:12.840]to work in parallel rather than truly collaborating

[00:01:15.740]on a holistic geological model.

[00:01:18.520]At the base of this commonly lies

[00:01:20.210]a lack of data transparency and a flow of information.

[00:01:24.519]Central 3.1 makes cross disciplinary communication

[00:01:28.160]and active data exchange possible

[00:01:30.320]through the integration with Oasis montaj.

[00:01:35.960]It’s our goal to continuously add to your user experience

[00:01:39.130]through new and improved functionality.

[00:01:41.680]In Central 3.1 we’ve made improvements to the data room,

[00:01:45.410]being able to navigate and move data with greater ease,

[00:01:48.380]upload files without a limitation size,

[00:01:51.100]guide and midpoints are now enabled

[00:01:53.280]to be published to the Central browser,

[00:01:56.200]and now the Central browser is backwards compatible

[00:01:58.870]with older versions of Central up to version 2.3.

[00:02:02.740]Connecting to Central cloud-hosted instances

[00:02:05.440]is now even easier through a common port.

[00:02:08.790]Okay, let’s jump in and have a look at

[00:02:10.920]the active demonstration of what’s new in Central.

[00:02:17.000]Working in silos is quite common in our industry.

[00:02:20.040]Central enables you to break down these barriers,

[00:02:22.570]not only through improved communication,

[00:02:24.740]but also by ensuring that all geoscientists

[00:02:27.180]have access to each other’s geological interpretation.

[00:02:30.470]This is key for a robust holistic modeling approach.

[00:02:33.450]The integration between Central and Oasis montaj

[00:02:36.790]allows you to share your geophysical models

[00:02:39.060]in your organization or with clients

[00:02:41.890]through the Central data room.

[00:02:44.170]Geosoft grids and voxels can now be imported

[00:02:48.210]directly to the Central data room.

[00:02:51.660]This can be done by right clicking on any grid or voxel

[00:02:56.220]and selecting Upload to Central.

[00:03:01.570]I now have the option to select the project

[00:03:03.740]I wish to upload to,

[00:03:09.510]and that’s automatically pushed into the Central data room

[00:03:12.570]for that particular project.

[00:03:18.490]So now Oasis montaj users can keep track

[00:03:21.220]of their processing efforts through secure storage

[00:03:23.840]and version control provided by Central.

[00:03:28.170]We’ve redesigned the data services tab

[00:03:30.710]to include an Upload to Central button

[00:03:34.935]where we can multi-select grids and voxels to publish.

[00:03:46.580]The integration between Oasis montaj and Central

[00:03:49.170]focuses on how geophysicists and geologists

[00:03:51.900]can contribute to a project.

[00:03:54.430]However, these new capabilities is just the start

[00:03:56.820]of what we have planned for the future.

[00:04:00.820]From the Data Services menu,

[00:04:02.370]I can also open the Central portal.

[00:04:06.310]And from here, I can navigate into my project

[00:04:11.650]and to the Files tab, which is our data room.

[00:04:17.590]You can see the grids here that I have just uploaded.

[00:04:21.880]And these are version controlled over time.

[00:04:24.200]So if we have the same grid uploaded multiple times,

[00:04:27.060]we can see the various versions of that file

[00:04:30.090]in the data room.

[00:04:32.690]While having a look at these files,

[00:04:34.800]let’s take a look at some of the new improvements

[00:04:37.070]we’ve made to the data room.

[00:04:39.650]So we can select and multi-select files

[00:04:42.834]to move into a folder if we wish.

[00:04:53.240]Central 3.1 also has the capability of soft deleting files.

[00:04:58.780]So if I multi-select a few files and try to remove them,

[00:05:04.210]these are being moved to my recycle bin

[00:05:06.570]so that I could easily come in here

[00:05:08.750]and restore these files if necessary.

[00:05:14.590]And last but not least,

[00:05:15.680]there is now no limits on the file size

[00:05:17.610]that can be uploaded to Central.

[00:05:21.370]Meaning that even your largest geo-physical inversions

[00:05:24.660]can be uploaded directly to the Central data room.

[00:05:30.990]With this new version of Central

[00:05:32.650]we’re now able to directly import 2D grids

[00:05:35.260]into Leapfrog Geo from the data room.

[00:05:38.270]This means that version tracked geophysical, geochemical

[00:05:41.650]or 2D section grid data that’s saved in Central data room

[00:05:45.200]can be imported directly through a right-click

[00:05:49.260]and Import Grid From Central.

[00:05:54.470]I now have the option to select any projects

[00:05:56.870]that are sitting on that server.

[00:05:58.810]Let me navigate back into my palmer dataset

[00:06:02.270]and head over to the Files tab.

[00:06:05.360]And these are the files that I uploaded to the data room

[00:06:07.653]from Oasis montaj.

[00:06:11.850]It’s as simple as clicking any of these grids

[00:06:15.190]and then Import.

[00:06:19.900]The great advantage of being able

[00:06:21.380]to access the data here directly

[00:06:23.480]is that you can forgo having to ask your colleagues

[00:06:25.640]for the file through an email

[00:06:27.360]or search through endless directories.

[00:06:29.560]You can retrieve the file easily and quickly

[00:06:31.930]and can be assured that is indeed the correct version

[00:06:34.310]of the grid you’re meant to be working with.

[00:06:44.440]Let’s have another look at the features that are designed

[00:06:46.680]to bring you and your team closer together.

[00:06:49.540]Did you notice that the bell icon

[00:06:51.260]at the top right-hand corner has a red bubble?

[00:06:54.320]This in-app feature is part of the new notification system

[00:06:57.570]for cloud-hosted environment

[00:06:59.580]and highlights when a change has occurred

[00:07:01.300]that you have subscribed to.

[00:07:05.680]You can select what you want to be notified on

[00:07:08.330]in your preferences page.

[00:07:12.540]And here we have the ability of turning on and off email

[00:07:16.570]or in-app notifications split out

[00:07:20.170]by the project notification type

[00:07:24.300]or subscribe or unsubscribe to specific projects.

[00:07:28.530]This is great for just subscribing to the projects

[00:07:30.740]that you’re interested in

[00:07:32.260]and have a key stake in the active development

[00:07:34.740]of that modeling project.

[00:07:38.620]And if you subscribed to multiple Central instances,

[00:07:41.749]all notifications across all instances

[00:07:45.010]will be available to you in the notifications panel.

[00:07:52.880]In review, Central 3.1 has enabled a host of new features

[00:07:56.980]to help you work more effectively and collaborate from home

[00:08:00.310]with your colleagues through notifications.

[00:08:03.330]You can stay connected with your team,

[00:08:05.010]never miss an update when new data becomes available.

[00:08:08.620]Through Central we hope to bring geoscientists together

[00:08:11.460]and overcome traditional silos

[00:08:13.390]by facilitating this communication and active data exchange

[00:08:16.680]through the integration with Oasis montaj.

[00:08:19.240]Enjoy the new features,

[00:08:20.300]and there’s much more on the horizon.

[00:08:23.530]If any of this has spiked your interest,
