3D modelling helps Groundwater Relief provide water access to impoverished communities

Groundwater Relief is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to safe drinking water by developing and implementing sustainable groundwater resources in underserved communities worldwide. So far, they have helped provide sustainable access to safe drinking water for over 2.2 million people through their technical expertise, capacity building, and innovative approaches to groundwater management. CEO and co-founder Geraint Burrows spoke to us about how Leapfrog Works plays a vital role in their success by enabling them to create 3D models of the subsurface. These models help them understand aquifer systems before drilling and communicate to decision-makers who might not have a geological understanding. Watch the video below to hear about the great work they have been doing in South Sudan, Bangladesh, and Yemen.
