A Geosoft DAP Server should be dedicated to providing Geosoft DAP services only in order to provide the required performance and responses to requests from data users. The minimum recommended DAP Server configuration for a corporate DAP solution is:

② ArcGIS Server is required when managing ESRI file geodatabases, LYR files and raster images. GDP currently supports ArcGIS v10,11,12.

Geosoft DAP Server is able to efficiently catalog and deliver a broad range of dataset types, including very large geospatial grids, 3D voxels, images and vector data. In addition to inherently spatial dataset types other formats, such as Adobe PDF, ZIP, and other non-spatial file formats, are supported as Documents.
