What a difference a year makes. At the 2025 Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention, we proudly announced Seequent Evo, ushering in a new era of subsurface intelligence. This year when we returned to Toronto, the conversation has fundamentally shifted from promise to real-world proof. The energy and excitement were palpable as we shared highlights from the world’s largest gathering of prospectors and developers. Here are a few of the highlights from the world’s largest gathering of prospectors and developers.
Held in Toronto annually, PDAC is the world’s largest gathering of prospectors.

Modern subsurface intelligence, proven in practice
PDAC marked an important milestone for Seequent Evo, one year on from its launch. Conversations this year moved beyond promise to proof, with customers keen to understand how Evo is already adding value across exploration workflows. We now have real-world use cases which demonstrate the power of our new geoscience platform and prove the value of its openness. Customers are no longer just curious about Evo; they are actively using it to enhance their exploration work and are eager to share how it’s already making a difference.

Across the booth and in customer meetings, we showcased how Evo brings together data, compute and applications to support AI-ready, future-proof workflows. From drillhole data through to estimation and modelling, the emphasis was on practical outcomes and trusted decisions.
Key highlights of our showcase:
* Driver, now delivering proven value by rapidly identifying patterns and features in drilling data. We were thrilled to be able to share success stories from OceanaGold, who used Driver to identify additional gold by discovering a previously unmodelled vein splay, and SRK Consulting, who leveraged Driver’s AI capabilities to reinterpret historical data from a legacy gold deposit.
* Imago, applying AI to core imagery to support faster geological interpretation brings this novel technology right to the applications our customers are using every day
* MX Deposit data validations, improving data consistency and confidence early in the workflow.
* Leapfrog Edge, supporting robust estimation and transparency in early-stage exploration.
* Oasis montaj radiometrics, developed in partnership with Medusa, enabling earlier insight before drilling begins (more on that below).
Together, these capabilities demonstrated how modern subsurface intelligence supports better decisions before, during and after drilling.
Openness in action: collaboration and partnership in focus
Partnership was a strong theme throughout PDAC 2026. Evo’s architecture is open, an approach which allows for bespoke apps and seamless data exchange, even with non-Seequent applications.
At the booth and across the programme, we highlighted growing collaboration across the Evo ecosystem. This included our integration with Orica Digital Solutions, which helps connect geologists and drillers to move seamlessly from model to drill.
We also showcased our new partnership with Medusa Radiometrics, which enables earlier insight before drilling begins. The collaboration delivers a new, modern workflow for Oasis montaj that unlocks the full potential of today’s advanced radiometric sensors. This allows geoscientists to make better-informed decisions and reduce risk by gaining a clearer understanding of the subsurface at the earliest stages of exploration.
These partnerships are prime examples of the Evo ecosystem in action, demonstrating our commitment to an open and collaborative approach that empowers our customers with integrated, future-ready workflows.
A strong, and vibrant, Latin America
The high level of engagement from Latin American delegations reinforced not only the ongoing relevance of PDAC but also the region’s growing prominence in the global conversation around mining, technology, and sustainability. A recurring theme in talks with Latin American delegations was working in complex environments, particularly regarding data integration and more confident decision-making.

Strengthening global connections
PDAC continues to be an important forum for strengthening regional and global relationships. This year, we were pleased to co-host the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise ‘Connected Minerals, Connected Markets’ breakfast, bringing together industry leaders to discuss how technology is redefining mining in 2026.
Our North America EVP, Rob King, emphasised some of the drivers bringing mining to the forefront, including the need for minerals used in data centres.
We also valued the opportunity to spend time with longstanding partners and customers through dedicated events, including our customer appreciation evening and a series of industry-led discussions focused on open data standards, interoperability and future-ready exploration.
Conversations that matter
Beyond technology, many of the most valuable moments at PDAC came through open and honest conversations about the challenges facing the industry. From critical minerals and data management to skills, standards and sustainability, there was strong alignment on the need for collaboration, resilience and continuous innovation.
What stood out again this year was the central role of people. Technology enables progress, but it is the expertise, curiosity, and commitment of geoscientists and engineers that turn insight into impact.
PDAC 2026 reinforced the momentum building across Seequent’s platform, products and partnerships.
Thank you to everyone who spent time with us during the week – whether at the booth, an event, or in conversation. We are already turning these conversations into action and look forward to delivering even more innovation in the year ahead.
