Communicating risk on design and build contracts for the North-South Corridor in Singapore.

The North-South Corridor is a planned 21.5km expressway which will pass through the heart of Singapore.

Mott MacDonald has partnered with construction contractors on five separate cut and cover tunnel contracts. We have developed live ground models using both existing and ongoing site investigation information for all contracts. The models are instrumental in communicating the ground risks and are heavily relied upon for the evolving detailed design. The tunnel excavation for the project is just starting, and the development of the geological model is key going forward.
