Seequent Central Release Notes

Seequent Central release notes

In this latest release of Seequent Central, ease of access is at the forefront of improvements, with Central now accessible via a single domain – central.seequent.com

This change removes the need to navigate to a specific domain for your Central instance. Now, you can choose which Central instance you wish to access during sign-in, and easily switch between instances from within the Central portal. You can also move between other Seequent cloud applications, Imago, MX Deposit, and OpenGround, from within Central via a new menu.

Surfaces can now be exported directly from Central when working in the web browser. With multiple industry data formats supported, you can export the data you need from a project to use in your other applications.

GIS Data Visualisation

The latest release of Seequent Central brings enriched GIS data visualisation and analysis by enabling you to layer GIS objects and images on topography and easily reorder them to suit your needs.

This feature gives more flexibility to your Central visualisation experience and delivers the following key benefits:

  • Create detailed visual representations of your data by adding multiple GIS objects onto your topography, including points, lines, maps, images, and more.
  • Easily rearrange the order of GIS objects, change their colours, and vary their thickness to control their visibility on the topography. Prioritise essential information at the forefront or adjust the stacking order according to relevance or hierarchy.
  • Manage the priority of intersecting or overlapping GIS objects, ensuring the desired information takes precedence and is clearly presented.
  • Enhance team collaboration by sharing your layered GIS data with stakeholders through comments, fostering enhanced teamwork and cooperation.

This new feature is designed to provide you with enhanced capabilities to visualise and analyse your GIS data with greater efficiency and flexibility. We are confident it will empower you to achieve more in your data analysis and greatly benefit your workflow.

What’s new in Central November 2022

The following enhancements are included in the November 2022 Central update and are available now. Please check your license permissions for feature availability.
1. Live Drilling Progress with IMDEX HUB IQ
2. Compare Changes
3. Publish Oasis montaj Projects

Live Drilling Visualisation with IMDEXHUB-IQ

The Central-IMDEXHUB-IQ™ Integration enables your team to work with data collected at rig in near real time. Connect to data that is stored in the IMDEXHUB-IQ™ and view it alongside geological data in Central so that you can understand progress and make better decisions during drilling campaigns. This integration has been extended and moved to utilise web visualisation capability.

Target Tracking

End of hole projection has been added to enable visibility of how you are tracking based on current trajectory and the planned max depth of the hole.

Integration Setup

IMDEXHUB-IQ™ project selection is now completed via the integrations tab. This removes the need for project selection in the app and provides streamlined accessibility for users.

Structural Data Filtering

Structural data collected using the IQ logger can now be filtered based on categories.

Compare Changes

New capability with more flexibility is on offer in the new compare tools now available in Central’s web-based visualisation. They are designed to enable you to better understand how your models change and evolve over time and see the impact your data collection and modelling are having on your project outputs.

When selecting the dates to compare, Central automatically detects older objects of the same origin for comparison, while also providing full flexibility to choose the objects you want to compare.

Compare objects across branches and revisions or choose two models from the same revision, it’s up to you!

Overview Stats

As well as viewing changes, spatial overview stats provide you with additional details about what is in 3D and the magnitude of the changes. See volume change in 3D and as well as the values.

Publish and View Oasis Montaj Projects

Projects in Oasis montaj can now be published to Central, allowing you to share your outputs with the wider project team. View and share your data in 3D from your web browser, create scenes and comment in real-time as you collaborate across projects. Central supports the visualisation of 2D and 3D grids and surfaces published with Oasis montaj projects. More data types will be added in future releases.

What’s new in Seequent Central November 2022

This latest release of Seequent Central delivers enhanced integrations and tools to provide greater efficiency and collaboration across your workflows.

New compare tools that have been added to web visualisation are designed to enable a better understanding of how your models evolve over time and see the impact your data collection and modeling are having on project outputs.

The IMDEXHUB-IQ™ integration enables live drilling visualisation while your team is collecting data at the rig so that you can understand progress and make better decisions during drilling campaigns. This integration has been extended to utilise web visualisation capability, offering an improved integration setup, target tracking with end of hole projection, and structural data filtering. This builds on the recent Oasis montaj integration and continues to enhance the tools available to create a connected ecosystem for your data and modelling.

Enhanced integrations create more visibility and deliver better outcomes – Central is an environment that enables your stakeholders to work effectively across projects and collaborate efficiently by removing barriers and delivering greater clarity.

The release features are available in Central now, please check your license permissions for feature availability.

Image and Texture Loading

Images and textures now load much faster when viewing them in your web browser. New capability for compressing images and textures allows you to view larger images, sections, and textures. When first loaded, Central will compress the image which can take a moment depending on its original size; all subsequent loads of the image will be noticeably faster allowing you and your team to work more effectively with your images across Central.

View Octree Block Models

The new octree structured sub-block models can now be viewed in 3D, directly alongside the rest of your Central data. The new block model formats will load and render faster than previously published block models.

Set Flat Colour

Flat colour on all objects can now be changed by either selecting from the colour picker or adding the hex value, this provides more flexibility when viewing data in the context of your model. Changes to the flat colour will be saved with any comments that are created.

Usability Improvements

Clickable links – Hyperlinks that are added to comments and scenes are now clickable and will launch the link in a new tab.

Move pop up panels

Panels for the properties and in-scene details are now able to be moved and docked on the right-hand side of the window by dragging them to the edge.

Tool tips for long names

Hover over names that are too long for the dialog box to show a tool tip containing the full name.

See Objects in Project Tree

To understand where an object has come from in the project tree you can now right click and select “See in Project Tree”.

What’s new in Seequent Central February 2022

This latest release of Seequent Central sees a step-change that transforms how you engage with all stakeholders on a project. Central now provides the capability to embed and share 3D scenes of your model publicly.

Whether you need to engage a wider project stakeholder group for faster decisions or communicate project stage progress with the general public, this can all now happen through Central, powered by Seequent Evo.

This NEW functionality provides transparency and visibility to help de-risk complex projects. Simply set a scene to public, copy and share the link or embed it in a website! More visibility builds stakeholder trust, allowing them to help you make faster, more confident decisions for better project delivery.

Public Sharing

Engage an even wider audience than ever before. To share your insights with anyone, simply select the scene of interest generated in Central and change the permission setting to public.

The version you see in 3D will be the one that is shared or select another to show a different version. Once set to Public, you can simply copy the public link to share.

Anything that you share in the scene will be available in a public version of Central’s web visualisation.

If removing public access on a scene is required, simply switch it back to private.

Embedding

Further enhance audience engagement by embedding your scene on a website or in applications that support IFrames. Simply copy the embed link and use this in your site.

Section Lines on the Slice Plane

When viewing your model on a slice plane Central now supports the ability to view the section as a plane and line work. Use the hide and show faces button to remove surfaces and the fill slice option for the line work.
