<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Hi, everyone.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:00:11.570]
Welcome to our webinar on uninterrupted explorations

[00:00:14.780]
through a global pandemic.

[00:00:16.940]
The past couple of years have been challenging

[00:00:18.820]
for everyone to say the least.

[00:00:20.940]
And today we’re going to discuss how one company

[00:00:23.560]
was able to overcome these challenges

[00:00:25.770]
and continue its exploration activities

[00:00:28.260]
with the aid of a couple

[00:00:29.230]
of very useful technological solutions.

[00:00:32.460]
So a bit of housekeeping before we get started,

[00:00:36.330]
as Sequent is now part of Bentley Systems,

[00:00:38.790]
and as a public company,

[00:00:40.770]
I need to briefly share this statement of confidentiality

[00:00:43.910]
and disclaimer, and ask that the audience,

[00:00:45.950]
please respect the intentions it expresses.

[00:00:49.270]
You’ll be able to use the questions tab

[00:00:51.220]
to ask questions throughout the presentation,

[00:00:53.750]
which we will then ask to the presenters

[00:00:55.610]
during the question period at the end.

[00:00:58.190]
Also, if you can, please stick around at the end

[00:01:01.150]
for a brief questionnaire

[00:01:02.780]
to let us know how we did and to request more information,

[00:01:05.780]
if you so desire.

[00:01:08.870]
So my name is Stephanie Vanos and I’m a project geologist

[00:01:12.190]
and data management specialist for Sequent North America.

[00:01:15.920]
Joining me today for the discussion are Santiago Cuartas,

[00:01:19.330]
a geologist with the business development team at Sequent

[00:01:22.940]
and Kristina Walcott,

[00:01:24.150]
president and chief executive officer

[00:01:26.180]
of Freegold Ventures Limited.

[00:01:28.490]
Welcome guys.

[00:01:31.440]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Thanks Stephanie.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:01:32.486]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />So let’s rewind time a bit back to the beginning of 2020.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:01:38.080]
What was exploration like

[00:01:39.780]
for Freegold Ventures at the time?

[00:01:43.530]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Stephanie, in midst 5th February of 2020,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:01:46.170]
we just started our winter drill program

[00:01:48.070]
on our Golden Summit project,

[00:01:49.810]
which is near Fairbanks, Alaska.

[00:01:51.580]
Golden Summit is about 30 kilometers

[00:01:53.750]
outside of Fairbanks.

[00:01:54.800]
So it’s about half an hour,

[00:01:55.940]
40 minutes drive for our drill crews.

[00:01:58.230]
So the drill crew was staying in Fairbanks

[00:01:59.620]
commuting to the project.

[00:02:01.530]
We were using the ALS facilities for logging.

[00:02:03.980]
We were using Excel and we’ve pretty much engaged ALS

[00:02:07.330]
to do all of our core photography for us.

[00:02:11.770]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />So Christina, that was kind of the process in that moment,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:02:16.330]
but then March 2020, pandemic was declared.

[00:02:21.020]
What was your initial reaction?

[00:02:22.940]
Where were you at at the moment?

[00:02:25.920]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, I think what we’d been doing<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:02:27.901]
in our previous programs,

[00:02:29.650]
we were always taking our photos manually,

[00:02:31.710]
renaming the file,

[00:02:32.680]
saving them in folders that everybody’s familiar with,

[00:02:35.650]
renaming box to,

[00:02:37.050]
from whole number on each and individual photo.

[00:02:40.400]
So we had a reasonable system that was working pretty well.

[00:02:43.140]
At ALS, they were doing it much the same way.

[00:02:46.070]
However, they had a better web view

[00:02:47.600]
in order to view the core down hole,

[00:02:49.040]
which is why initially we had them doing the photos.

[00:02:52.250]
We were logging either using handwritten logs,

[00:02:54.570]
transcribing into Excel, or logging straight

[00:02:57.300]
into an Excel spreadsheet,

[00:02:58.810]
but we always really struggle to fully use the data

[00:03:02.060]
we were collecting.

[00:03:03.340]
So many hours go into data collection.

[00:03:05.740]
It often felt like we weren’t really honoring

[00:03:08.570]
all of the data collecting

[00:03:09.830]
and all the time our CIOs were putting into the logs.

[00:03:14.420]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah, and I assume the pandemic<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:03:16.450]
was whole a suite challenge for you not to be able

[00:03:19.860]
to go to the core shack with the same frequency.

[00:03:23.920]
So how did you move forward when COVID hit?

[00:03:28.230]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, so about March, of course, the pandemic hit,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:03:32.760]
we were still drilling at Golden Summit.

[00:03:35.050]
So we kept drilling probably till about mid March.

[00:03:38.450]
It became increasingly apparent that this was a bad idea

[00:03:41.310]
and we needed to shut down.

[00:03:42.890]
So we actually stopped drilling partway

[00:03:45.400]
through our second hole

[00:03:46.520]
and really focused on getting our people home safely.

[00:03:51.581]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />So there was a period in time where you were trying<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:03:55.500]
to log with the masks.

[00:03:57.420]
And then how did you,

[00:04:02.000]
what was the main motivation for looking for a solution

[00:04:05.020]
like MX or IMAGO at this point?

[00:04:08.370]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, it was interesting<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:04:09.260]
because we had already started

[00:04:10.380]
to look at different logging software.

[00:04:12.280]
So we were fortunate to have actually done

[00:04:13.970]
a bit of investigation

[00:04:15.160]
into the different ways we might be able to do things.

[00:04:17.180]
So I think it’s fair to say in our wildest dreams,

[00:04:20.460]
we never thought it was going to turn out like this.

[00:04:22.340]
So we had a lot of challenges to get wrapped back up.

[00:04:25.670]
After we shut down, we spent a lot of time

[00:04:29.060]
developing community safety plans,

[00:04:31.450]
but I think over the last year and a half,

[00:04:33.360]
we’ve really streamlined our information gathering

[00:04:35.980]
and improved our efficiency and utilization

[00:04:38.440]
of the data tremendously.

[00:04:40.020]
And that’s largely been as a result of using the MX

[00:04:42.890]
and the IMAGO systems.

[00:04:47.180]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />So to this specific solutions that you identified,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:04:50.090]
but can you tell us a little bit more about the story

[00:04:52.880]
of how did you become aware of the solutions

[00:04:55.450]
or how this conversation started?

[00:04:58.800]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />So, as I mentioned,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:05:00.220]
we were drilling at Golden Summit in March,

[00:05:02.420]
RVPs and myself.

[00:05:04.030]
We were down at PDAC I guess, early March.

[00:05:06.900]
And we had already been interested in trying to improve

[00:05:09.550]
our logging systems.

[00:05:10.780]
We had demoed another different,

[00:05:13.110]
a lot of different software products,

[00:05:15.030]
but they weren’t exactly what we were looking for.

[00:05:16.920]
They just didn’t have the flexibility

[00:05:18.600]
or they were too expensive.

[00:05:20.230]
So we actually arranged a demo FMX.

[00:05:22.750]
We bought our first license actually,

[00:05:24.220]
whilst we were at PDAC.

[00:05:25.990]
The guys that I met for super,

[00:05:27.680]
they onboard us right away.

[00:05:28.990]
By the time we left PDAC we were fully onboarded into MX.

[00:05:32.863]
So what we started with the initial idea was we wanted

[00:05:36.370]
to bring all of our historic logs into MX

[00:05:39.740]
and then expand on that.

[00:05:41.030]
I think if I was going to do it differently,

[00:05:42.530]
now I would have just started using MX

[00:05:44.480]
and left the historical for later on.

[00:05:48.140]
By about may,

[00:05:49.400]
we were starting to look at what we were going to do

[00:05:51.730]
with our Shorty Creek project.

[00:05:53.910]
That’s another project we’ve got, our partner is South 32.

[00:05:57.630]
Again, here, we were trying to improve our access to data.

[00:06:00.880]
We had a significant number of photos uploaded

[00:06:03.990]
in the same individual folders

[00:06:05.980]
and sharing this data had proved

[00:06:07.470]
to be quite frustrating.

[00:06:09.050]
So I guess it was May, I reached out to Frederico at IMAGO

[00:06:12.910]
after reading about their system.

[00:06:14.290]
And we worked with them

[00:06:15.340]
to have all of the historic core photos

[00:06:17.470]
from Shorty Creek incorporated into that IMAGO platform.

[00:06:20.450]
Of course, that’s when I first met you Santiago as well.

[00:06:24.020]
So anyway, at the end of that, that meant both us

[00:06:27.590]
and South 32 just had great access

[00:06:30.290]
to all of the post oratorical photos.

[00:06:32.760]
By June, we started to ramp up our program at Golden Summit,

[00:06:37.780]
our primary focus to be fair,

[00:06:39.480]
was really trying to execute the project safely.

[00:06:42.620]
There were new protocols.

[00:06:43.870]
We had some difficult drilling conditions

[00:06:46.870]
which really occupied us for the first little bit.

[00:06:49.880]
We began to use MX on the project

[00:06:52.550]
and then we really started to tailor it,

[00:06:54.540]
to figure out how we wanted to use it on our project.

[00:06:58.200]
And I’ll say

[00:06:59.033]
it was a pretty incredible transformation for us.

[00:07:02.180]
We no longer were having our geos email the drill log down

[00:07:05.460]
to us nightly.

[00:07:06.530]
We were suddenly able

[00:07:07.640]
to just instantly access the drill logs

[00:07:09.840]
and see what we wanted to see when we wanted to see it.

[00:07:15.190]
Sorry, Santiago.

[00:07:16.860]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />No, I was going to say<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:07:17.693]
that I love the example of collaboration

[00:07:20.890]
with South 32.

[00:07:23.160]
Where are they based out of Australia or where were they?

[00:07:26.910]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />They were based out of Australia.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:07:28.050]
So we were working with their team primarily

[00:07:29.970]
out of Australia.

[00:07:32.670]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Wow, that’s awesome.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:07:34.619]
(radio interference drowns out speaker)

[00:07:36.957]
And it was just really easy to do.

[00:07:40.590]
And so we still had ALS taking our core photos for us,

[00:07:44.030]
but what we wanted to do then

[00:07:46.020]
is having seen what was possible with the old photos

[00:07:50.220]
from Shorty Creek was trying to see

[00:07:52.430]
if we could do that real time at Golden Summit.

[00:07:55.010]
So again, we reached out

[00:07:56.350]
to you guys and this time we purchased the system,

[00:07:59.320]
so a couple of back and forth conversations,

[00:08:02.760]
we were able to get a system built for us

[00:08:05.540]
that really worked well for us.

[00:08:07.530]
And we had it shipped up to Alaska

[00:08:09.390]
and after reasonably quick training, we were up and running.

[00:08:15.130]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Oh, that’s great.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:08:16.980]
So fast forward, you have now implemented both systems

[00:08:21.330]
and now you have them in functioning in the core shack.

[00:08:25.820]
So you and your team prepared a video

[00:08:28.110]
to share with us today.

[00:08:29.460]
Should we play it now?

[00:08:31.660]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah, I think that would be great, Santiago.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:08:34.103]
Just a reminder to everybody watching here,

[00:08:36.880]
you may need to turn up the volume to be able to hear

[00:08:39.200]
what our geo was saying.

[00:08:40.220]
Sometimes it comes across a little thing.

[00:08:44.370]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Okay.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:08:59.530]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Oh, hi.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:09:00.363]
I’m Mark Ramo working with Freegold Ventures Limited

[00:09:03.630]
at the Golden Summit project outside of Fairbanks, Alaska.

[00:09:07.900]
We’re here doing a large Korean project.

[00:09:10.520]
This is our second portion and others exactly like this.

[00:09:14.250]
We’ve been using MX deposit and the IMAGO software app

[00:09:20.360]
for about a year now,

[00:09:21.400]
and it has improved our efficiency drastically.

[00:09:24.630]
Instead of everyone having a computer with Excel

[00:09:28.580]
that you have to save and go in and out of a million times,

[00:09:31.070]
everyone can be logging this hole at the same time,

[00:09:34.110]
as long as you have a different tablet for it.

[00:09:36.230]
So here you can see,

[00:09:37.840]
I have lithology pulled up and this is top of the hole

[00:09:41.570]
to our current position in the hole, which is right here.

[00:09:46.960]
And if you come over here, you can see Mike’s over here,

[00:09:50.750]
logging mineralization for each interval

[00:09:53.110]
that we’ve already distinguished.

[00:09:55.990]
And then as you go through, you can continue.

[00:10:00.250]
And we even have a oriented log program here.

[00:10:03.920]
So we have a tablet for the oriented log structure,

[00:10:08.710]
alteration, mineralization, RQD sample,

[00:10:15.850]
and there’s everything we do to log this core.

[00:10:18.730]
And as I said,

[00:10:19.650]
everyone on their tablet can be doing it different tab

[00:10:24.100]
at the same time.

[00:10:24.950]
So it’s highly efficient.

[00:10:26.480]
And then as soon as you pull out of it,

[00:10:28.620]
it all auto-populates to every computer

[00:10:31.860]
that’s logged into the program at the time.

[00:10:34.010]
Our Internet’s very slow right now.

[00:10:35.410]
So it can take a little while,

[00:10:36.680]
but that’s our only slow down.

[00:10:39.690]
And as we’re going, we’re logging.

[00:10:41.850]
We’re also snapping pictures at the same time.

[00:10:44.490]
And we’ve found that having consistent lighting is key

[00:10:47.730]
to being able to capture well lit photos.

[00:10:52.500]
So as we go,

[00:10:55.060]
you can come over here and see the software.

[00:10:57.120]
This is our buddy Hayes.

[00:10:58.480]
He’s been helping us a bunch.

[00:11:01.170]
So you just type in the new depth

[00:11:04.110]
you want to go to 397.3, move the whole thing over

[00:11:13.000]
and then just hit the button and you get your photo

[00:11:18.190]
right up here and you can see it’s already cropped.

[00:11:21.710]
It has this amazing auto cropping feature

[00:11:24.520]
that it’ll take each row and crop it individually,

[00:11:28.360]
and then once you get uploaded to the software site,

[00:11:31.870]
it will lay them all out consecutively

[00:11:35.970]
so you get a nice line of your pictures

[00:11:38.360]
as the hole is going down.

[00:11:39.630]
It’s pretty amazing stuff.

[00:11:42.260]
And yes, as you can see,

[00:11:43.470]
we have our different holes here and you can go in

[00:11:47.080]
and it takes awhile to load,

[00:11:48.970]
but this will bring up all the different tabs

[00:11:51.160]
as I head out before.

[00:11:53.200]
And that’s, about how we log core here

[00:11:56.130]
at Golden Summit, thanks.

[00:12:03.190]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Wow, that was amazing.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:12:05.680]
Thank you very much for sharing it.

[00:12:13.430]
So one question here,

[00:12:15.300]
how was the process of incorporating new workflows

[00:12:20.080]
around data capture in the core shack?

[00:12:24.130]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, Santiago, I’m sure you can imagine<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:12:26.580]
with anything new,

[00:12:27.413]
there’s always a little resistance, but overall,

[00:12:29.640]
the integration went fairly well.

[00:12:31.750]
I think initially there was some concern

[00:12:34.340]
about how long taking photos,

[00:12:38.340]
what it was going to add to the workflow,

[00:12:40.360]
but at the end of the day, as you can see,

[00:12:41.950]
it’s a fairly quick process,

[00:12:44.240]
you just move the tablet camera

[00:12:46.400]
and the frame down the box.

[00:12:47.810]
Now the other thing that’s nice,

[00:12:49.020]
of course, you’re no longer handling the core,

[00:12:51.280]
taking it into a little photo booth there.

[00:12:53.650]
So you’re able to sort of,

[00:12:55.350]
it saves everyone’s back, right?

[00:12:57.240]
The quality of photos has been super, as Mark mentioned,

[00:13:00.390]
we really just had to make sure

[00:13:01.910]
the light was pretty constant.

[00:13:03.590]
That was something initially we struggled with a little bit,

[00:13:06.770]
but once we got that figured out, it was pretty simple.

[00:13:09.800]
So we’re now actually using two IMAGO systems,

[00:13:12.540]
one in each core shack.

[00:13:15.360]
Just as another example,

[00:13:16.650]
we did some relogging of our Shorty Creek core last year.

[00:13:21.290]
And one of the things with that is we were able to,

[00:13:24.260]
having the historical photos up with the split core,

[00:13:27.470]
it was a really great cross comparison.

[00:13:29.950]
The other thing that really sort of showed us was just

[00:13:33.020]
how much better the quality of the IMAGO images was

[00:13:36.260]
compared to what we had been doing.

[00:13:37.860]
And I mean,

[00:13:38.693]
we were pretty fussy and it took us a fair bit of time,

[00:13:41.380]
but these photos were just far superior.

[00:13:44.590]
With next, probably the biggest resistance

[00:13:48.380]
came from the use of tablets over laptops.

[00:13:52.200]
Ironically, our guys all wanted

[00:13:54.300]
to log with laptops initially,

[00:13:56.670]
and we had to push hard to get them to use the tablets.

[00:14:00.470]
So what we see now of course is nobody wants

[00:14:02.710]
to go near a laptop.

[00:14:07.164]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah, there was a bit of resistance,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:14:08.920]
but when they realized it was much kind of efficient

[00:14:12.290]
to do it with the new systems,

[00:14:13.610]
kind of worked out, and now let’s jump

[00:14:17.938]
to the usage and the integration of the data.

[00:14:20.620]
Can you describe us how are you using both systems now?

[00:14:25.230]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />So yeah, with the IMAGO,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:14:27.970]
we’re using IMAGO for all of our drilling images and MX

[00:14:31.100]
is the geo database.

[00:14:32.500]
So we’re using them all the time.

[00:14:33.970]
We’re able to quickly pull up the drill logs,

[00:14:35.890]
corresponding photos,

[00:14:37.650]
and we’ve also been using it as a tool

[00:14:39.270]
to store additional project information.

[00:14:41.970]
Last summer, as I mentioned, that we’re having

[00:14:43.650]
real challenges with the drilling conditions.

[00:14:45.450]
We put together a mud tab in which we were just recording

[00:14:48.020]
the pH and the viscosity.

[00:14:50.140]
So it allowed us to integrate sort of

[00:14:51.850]
what we were seeing in our drilling conditions

[00:14:53.420]
and mud in an effort to predict when we might either expect

[00:14:56.530]
to encounter difficult conditions

[00:14:58.500]
or we use as a reference tool.

[00:15:00.270]
So it’s proven to be a very effective reference library

[00:15:03.820]
for guys to go back to and say,

[00:15:05.810]
look, we were seeing this here.

[00:15:07.060]
This is what we were doing here,

[00:15:08.720]
and this helped us get through it.

[00:15:11.020]
As I mentioned earlier,

[00:15:12.490]
we’re partnered with South 32 on our other project.

[00:15:15.350]
We did a Joel program at Shorty Creek this summer.

[00:15:17.770]
Most of their team was in Australia

[00:15:19.640]
and unable to travel to site.

[00:15:21.690]
So we needed a way that we could quickly see the drill core

[00:15:24.680]
of the data.

[00:15:25.740]
So again, here we built, just quickly built a quick Glock,

[00:15:28.600]
a tab in MX.

[00:15:30.060]
So we were able to view the daily log and get a feel

[00:15:33.070]
for what we were seeing as well.

[00:15:34.890]
So often we were able to get the photos up the same day.

[00:15:38.020]
So by the time they were getting up the next morning,

[00:15:40.230]
they were looking at drill core drilled the previous day.

[00:15:43.470]
So I think the one thing and the big selling point for us

[00:15:46.530]
with that was MX was we can build your own tables and less.

[00:15:49.570]
So if you want to make changes,

[00:15:51.090]
you can make the changes internally.

[00:15:53.330]
You don’t need to go and have somebody else

[00:15:55.180]
make the changes, so you can do it very effectively.

[00:15:57.980]
So if you wanted a new pull down tab to describe bane types

[00:16:00.970]
or add another tab in there,

[00:16:02.600]
you can just build it in and it becomes,

[00:16:04.430]
it’s very user-friendly for us.

[00:16:07.060]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Oh, wow.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:16:08.280]
I’m still loving that example.

[00:16:11.090]
So about the systems integration

[00:16:13.860]
as IMAGO and MX are connected,

[00:16:16.080]
was this like connectivity feature part of the plan,

[00:16:19.040]
or was it something that took you by surprise

[00:16:21.600]
when you started using the platforms?

[00:16:24.520]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, no, actually that was another one<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:16:26.530]
of those key things we were looking for.

[00:16:29.040]
Again, I think it’s tremendously helpful,

[00:16:31.310]
especially when you’re looking at things from afar

[00:16:33.640]
to be able to look at a drill log

[00:16:35.840]
and look at the photographs

[00:16:36.850]
and see what people are calling things.

[00:16:39.700]
We’ve got a lot of different experience on the project,

[00:16:41.930]
a lot of senior guys.

[00:16:43.180]
So they had different ideas

[00:16:44.770]
and this really allowed them to look at the drill core,

[00:16:48.130]
then look at what the guys were logging.

[00:16:49.840]
And we were able to have a very iterative conversation

[00:16:53.170]
about what we were doing here.

[00:16:55.060]
So it became,

[00:16:56.400]
so we really were able to have the input

[00:16:58.860]
as to what was being logged real time.

[00:17:02.810]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Oh, wow.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:17:03.690]
And now when we were talking

[00:17:06.070]
about putting these webinars together,

[00:17:08.000]
you were very excited about sharing

[00:17:09.720]
your QATC workflow with the audience.

[00:17:13.270]
So yes, can you tell us

[00:17:15.740]
why are you excited about your QAQC?

[00:17:18.860]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, I think anybody who’s ever tried<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:17:22.960]
to sort of kind of marry assays to databases

[00:17:26.810]
or assays and Excel logs will know

[00:17:29.640]
sometimes it’s a horrible, tedious process.

[00:17:32.960]
So with MX, it’s really a very straight importation process,

[00:17:37.820]
especially, in our case,

[00:17:39.550]
we’re working with two different labs

[00:17:41.050]
to print analytical methods.

[00:17:42.610]
So it really

[00:17:43.618]
(radio interference drowns out speaker)

[00:17:45.130]
So you’re able to set the workflow up.

[00:17:47.090]
You can simply import the specific labs workflow.

[00:17:50.590]
You can store all your certificates for the standards,

[00:17:53.050]
the CSV files and the corresponding labs certificates.

[00:17:56.740]
So being able to set the standards and the values

[00:17:59.130]
of the tolerance as to what’s acceptable pass, fail,

[00:18:02.710]
it really simplifies the QAQC process dramatically.

[00:18:06.300]
So you quickly plot out,

[00:18:07.620]
you put a good plot there, a Santiago there,

[00:18:10.390]
you can quickly plot out where your standards are reporting

[00:18:12.650]
and the duplicates.

[00:18:13.483]
So you get a really good feel

[00:18:15.120]
for the quality of analysis very quickly.

[00:18:17.460]
So it’s, again, it’s a huge time-saver for us.

[00:18:22.210]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah, very useful.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:18:24.010]
Now I remember when you reached out,

[00:18:27.580]
you had a big amount of historical images,

[00:18:31.630]
do you think there was some value in those images

[00:18:34.680]
that you weren’t using to its full potential?

[00:18:38.550]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Oh, absolutely.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:18:39.570]
And I think that’s probably true of most companies,

[00:18:42.750]
you take all these images and you store them on a drive

[00:18:46.210]
and you really don’t look at them.

[00:18:47.910]
I mean, this allowed us

[00:18:49.560]
to sort of have kind of real-time access to them.

[00:18:52.310]
So if we wanted to go back

[00:18:53.540]
and look at a hole that was drilled in 2010,

[00:18:56.500]
we were just now able to go and pull up those photos,

[00:19:00.551]
again, it’s really just it’s contributed

[00:19:02.270]
to the overall quality of our datasets.

[00:19:06.120]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />And related to the topic<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:19:07.180]
of having all the systems connected,

[00:19:09.710]
how are you using this

[00:19:13.663]
on a modeling tool such as leapfrog?

[00:19:18.890]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, so a couple of things, of course,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:19:20.840]
we’re using leapfrog for modeling we’re using target again

[00:19:24.220]
for our sections.

[00:19:25.140]
Again, it’s a very simple process.

[00:19:28.180]
You’re able to export the CSV files

[00:19:29.910]
and then just quickly bring it in.

[00:19:31.770]
I think you said you’ve got a video here that maybe

[00:19:34.470]
we can take a look at how the leapfrog

[00:19:37.970]
integrates very well with IMAGO.

[00:19:45.070]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah, so Steph is playing the video right now,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:19:47.757]
and that shows how you can go and basically

[00:19:50.880]
cake on a specific interval and get the correspondent image.

[00:19:56.500]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah. Now again, it’s a fantastic visualization tool.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:19:59.970]
So if you’ve got some questions about what you’re seeing,

[00:20:02.690]
you’re able to quickly verify it.

[00:20:05.340]
We’re doing a lot of oriented core again at Golden Summit.

[00:20:08.490]
So again, it’s a great reference tool.

[00:20:10.470]
Go back, look at it.

[00:20:12.740]
So, it really, it helps to be a data storage tool as well.

[00:20:18.890]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, Christina,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:20:20.110]
thank you very much for sharing all this useful information

[00:20:23.400]
with us today.

[00:20:25.090]
Now to wrap up,

[00:20:25.990]
if you have to identify some key lessons

[00:20:29.220]
from this whole process and journey

[00:20:31.610]
you have being involved, what would they be?

[00:20:35.740]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />I think, you always have to remember<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:20:38.060]
to try new things, right?

[00:20:39.620]
Sometimes everything feels really daunting,

[00:20:42.230]
but I think you have to sort of approach it logically

[00:20:45.370]
in a sort of a step-by-step fashion

[00:20:47.590]
and you have to figure out what the technology

[00:20:50.190]
or what this new thing is actually going to do for you,

[00:20:52.970]
and how you’re really going to use it.

[00:20:54.650]
So I think, what we did by starting with MX,

[00:20:58.590]
then integrating the IMAGO

[00:21:00.750]
and now bringing it into sort of the target

[00:21:02.790]
and the leapfrog,

[00:21:03.700]
it’s all very much a sequential step and it allowed us

[00:21:06.720]
to build on it logically

[00:21:07.940]
without being overwhelming at first.

[00:21:11.880]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Well, yeah, that’s a great lesson.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:21:13.210]
And another lesson that I will like to mention here is that,

[00:21:18.240]
you and your team are an example of how a company

[00:21:22.740]
in an exploration stage

[00:21:24.130]
can adopt these cutting edge technologies

[00:21:28.050]
in order to make their work more efficient.

[00:21:30.890]
So I think that’s great and worth mentioning.

[00:21:34.480]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah, and I think to that,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:21:36.940]
I do want to speak about the actual affordability

[00:21:40.000]
of both of that technologies because they’re cloud-based,

[00:21:44.110]
they are reasonably affordable, as a junior company,

[00:21:46.890]
we’re always watching our budgets and don’t necessarily

[00:21:49.720]
have a huge budget for software.

[00:21:51.610]
So the way it’s been done,

[00:21:53.550]
sort of being able to sort of buy MX licenses individually,

[00:21:58.010]
the platform, it actually fit our budget as well.

[00:22:01.270]
So not only was it functional,

[00:22:04.370]
it didn’t have a huge learning curve,

[00:22:06.200]
but it was also affordable.

[00:22:07.500]
And I think for junior companies,

[00:22:09.690]
that really has to be at the forefront too.

[00:22:13.250]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Absolutely great.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:22:15.110]
So again, thank you very much for your time

[00:22:17.330]
and sharing all of these great information with us,

[00:22:19.930]
hand over now to Steff,

[00:22:22.640]
to lead the question panel.

[00:22:25.540]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yeah, so thank you both for that awesome discussion.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:22:29.110]
And if anybody has any questions,

[00:22:31.870]
please drop them in the questions tab.

[00:22:35.050]
I can get us started

[00:22:37.330]
while we’re waiting.

[00:22:39.370]
So here’s one, has the introduction of this new way

[00:22:43.040]
of working helped with employee morale,

[00:22:45.170]
and do you think it will help you in recruiting new talent?

[00:22:50.020]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />I think it’s been a tremendous help.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:22:53.040]
I think, we have a fairly young team,

[00:22:56.510]
mixed with some more senior people.

[00:22:58.880]
And what we’re seeing from them is they’re really keen

[00:23:01.560]
to embrace the technology

[00:23:03.580]
that the first ones to email saying, well,

[00:23:05.140]
what if we have this, what if we do that?

[00:23:06.610]
We could look at this as well.

[00:23:08.150]
So, and I think in turn,

[00:23:10.910]
what we’re finding is a lot of word of mouth referrals,

[00:23:13.470]
the guys were saying, «Hey, you know what,

[00:23:15.200]
this is what they’re doing, come and check it out.

[00:23:18.000]
I know they’re hiring.»

[00:23:18.860]
So we’ve had great success I think,

[00:23:22.130]
in using this technology.

[00:23:25.000]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Awesome.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:23:26.740]
So we have a question from James Andrew, it says,

[00:23:28.910]
does this integrate with Acquire?

[00:23:35.390]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />We haven’t used Acquire.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:23:36.710]
I mean, again, so that’s, we looked at Acquire,

[00:23:40.960]
but really we just stick with the MX, Steph,

[00:23:43.830]
do you want to speak to that?

[00:23:46.550]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />I can share MX deposit<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:23:49.710]
is its own logging database and software.

[00:23:52.870]
So Acquire is really a competitor of that,

[00:23:56.540]
but Santiago, do you want to mention how IMAGO connects?

[00:24:08.310]
Did we lose Santiago?

[00:24:10.884]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />I think we may have.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:24:12.080]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />I’m sorry, I was on mute.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:24:13.180]
I was on mute, I’m sorry.

[00:24:15.070]
So I’ll say thanks for the question, and the answer is yes,

[00:24:18.710]
it does, it does connect with Acquire.

[00:24:22.150]
It does also connect with Aqua arena as well.

[00:24:25.490]
So yes, it does connect.

[00:24:30.150]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Awesome.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:24:34.870]
So another question we have here

[00:24:36.800]
is for linking the core box intervals and MX deposit

[00:24:39.850]
and the images in IMAGO.

[00:24:41.300]
Is this something that you have to do manually

[00:24:43.750]
or is this done automatically?

[00:24:49.040]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />So it’s pretty much just clicking<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:24:50.870]
on the integration tab

[00:24:52.230]
and it automatically populates.

[00:24:53.930]
So once you’ve got your log up,

[00:24:55.680]
you can just have, once the integration is turned on,

[00:24:57.820]
you’ll see the core photos right away,

[00:24:59.650]
which again is just very helpful.

[00:25:03.310]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Okay, and we have a question from Miguel, I’m sorry.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:25:07.430]
I don’t know how to pronounce your last name,

[00:25:09.280]
but what is the price of IMAGO and how do the licenses work?

[00:25:13.130]
So I guess that one’s for you, Santiago.

[00:25:15.500]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Yes, so the price of IMAGO, it’s going to depend<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:25:19.190]
on the project,

[00:25:21.860]
basically the project size and the license is per project,

[00:25:28.090]
is site-based and it is an annual license

[00:25:31.740]
and gives you access to unlimited users.

[00:25:35.470]
So in order to get more information

[00:25:38.640]
about a specific pricing that may apply for your project,

[00:25:41.640]
please reach out to our team.

[00:25:44.560]
But basically, what you get

[00:25:47.630]
with the license is you get the ability

[00:25:49.700]
to capture the core as Christina is doing in the core shack.

[00:25:53.490]
Then the core is going to be organized,

[00:25:55.370]
the core images that are going to be organized

[00:25:56.890]
in this central platform.

[00:25:58.680]
And when they are in the central platform,

[00:26:01.550]
they can be connected with these softwares

[00:26:03.980]
such as leapfrog, MX, among others.

[00:26:09.490]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Awesome.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:26:12.030]
Okay.

[00:26:13.900]
What was the largest hurdle

[00:26:16.320]
to implementing this on site, Christina?

[00:26:20.590]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />I think again,<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:26:21.710]
it’s probably just a little bit of human resistance.

[00:26:25.870]
They’re not used to doing something in a different way,

[00:26:29.410]
but I think,

[00:26:30.300]
once we were able to demonstrate the efficiency,

[00:26:33.620]
everybody really jumped on board very quickly.

[00:26:36.250]
And I think also part of it is just the scale of tasks

[00:26:40.640]
that we were sort of embarking upon is like,

[00:26:42.550]
how are we going to start to automate this?

[00:26:44.920]
And I said at first it’s very daunting,

[00:26:47.130]
but we just sort of took it piece by piece.

[00:26:51.310]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Awesome.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:26:53.200]
And do you think you would have been as successful

[00:26:56.650]
with your exploration efforts

[00:26:58.040]
if you wouldn’t have had IMAGO and MX deposit?

[00:27:01.760]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />I think after the last year, no.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:27:03.760]
I mean, it really, really allowed us

[00:27:06.060]
to have sort of that real time access to data,

[00:27:08.690]
especially, we obviously have a tremendous backlog

[00:27:11.770]
in assays right now.

[00:27:13.140]
So being able to have the photos and the logs

[00:27:15.980]
really have helped guide our project

[00:27:17.660]
and our exploration as we’re going forward.

[00:27:19.950]
So we’ve drilled just over about 40,000 meters

[00:27:22.930]
using the software right now.

[00:27:24.170]
So it’s been an invaluable tool for us.

[00:27:28.110]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />That’s awesome.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:27:30.090]
That’s all the time we have now for questions.

[00:27:33.280]
If we didn’t get to yours,

[00:27:35.630]
we can definitely, we’ll respond in an email,

[00:27:40.490]
but I just want to thank you all so much

[00:27:42.580]
for attending today.

[00:27:44.090]
I hope this webinar held some valuable information for you

[00:27:47.280]
and as always, should you have any questions,

[00:27:49.830]
please don’t hesitate to reach out

[00:27:52.290]
and get in touch with us through our region representatives.

[00:27:55.420]
So thank you all again

[00:27:56.780]
and have a wonderful rest of your day.

[00:27:59.780]
Thanks so much.

[00:28:03.082]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Thank you, Christina.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:28:04.282]
Thank you very much.

[00:28:05.607]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Thanks to you both as well.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />

[00:28:07.250]
<encoded_tag_open />v -<encoded_tag_closed />Thanks everybody for watching, we really appreciate.<encoded_tag_open />/v<encoded_tag_closed />
