Lyceum Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (Terms) carefully before registering to participate at the Lyceum event (Event) brought to you by Seequent Limited and its group companies (Seequent or we or us or our). By registering to participate at an Event you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are designed to ensure that you enjoy a positive experience when participating at the Event and understand your rights and restrictions. Please read them carefully and contact us if you have any questions.

We value your privacy and are committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how we handle your personal data.

Please familiarise yourself with these Terms and our Code of Conduct. Registering for, attending, or otherwise participating in the Event is your agreement to be bound by these Terms and our Code of Conduct .

Registering an Account: To access the Event you must register an account and set up a password in the Lyceum event portal.

Profile: Your name, job title and the entity you work as provided by you on the registration form will be displayed in the Lyceum event portal and app and will be searchable by other participants at the Event.  We give you the option of changing your profile settings to be anonymous by updating your privacy settings using the app and platform. If you choose to participate anonymously at the event  some of the features and networking opportunities will not be available to you.

Age requirements: Attendees must be 18 years of age or older on the first day of the Event.

Restrictions: We may deny, limit, or cancel your registration for the Event at any time. We are not responsible for any damages, direct or indirect, resulting from such cancellation.

Accessing the Event and Content available at the Event: The Event, including content and documents made available, are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The information and data provided does not constitute and is not intended to constitute engineering or professional advice.

We do not guarantee that your participation at the Event will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, that the websites hosting the Event (Websites) are free of any virus or that the Websites will be available to you at all times.

We use reasonable efforts to include accurate, complete, and up-to-date information on the Websites. We do not, however, make any warranties (either express or implied) or representations as to the Websites’ accuracy, timeliness, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose (unless expressly stated otherwise) or non-infringement.

Our Intellectual Property: We own or have rights to all intellectual property, copyright, trade marks and proprietary information in respect of the Event which includes, but is not limited to, everything that you hear, read, download or access on or via the Event or the Websites (including materials prepared and or created by us, or which we have rights to as noted above). You are not permitted to do anything which breaches these intellectual property rights.

Without limiting the foregoing, any materials provided by Seequent remain the intellectual property of Seequent and are solely for information and non-commercial or personal use only. It is prohibited to sell or copy information obtained from us or from this Websites for commercial use.

Photography: Photographs and/or video taken at the Event by Seequent, or by others on behalf of Seequent, may include your image or likeness. You agree that Seequent may use such photographs and/or video for any purpose without compensation to you.

No recording: Sharing of photography, video or recordings of session content or presentations from the Event in any format is prohibited.

Liability: To the extent permitted by law, we (including any of our directors, employees, officers, affiliates, agents or suppliers) will not be liable to you and/or any third party for any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, consequential, lost profits, lost revenues, or similar economic loss, whether in contract, tort or otherwise) that you suffer in connection with your participation at the Event.

We also exclude any condition or warranty that could be implied into these Terms (but only to the extent that this is allowed by law).

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts in the event of any dispute or disagreement.

Miscellaneous: We reserve the right to vary, add or remove any part of these Terms at any time. Once published on the Websites the new amended Terms will become effective. You are responsible for checking the Terms. Please regularly review the Terms as they may change over time. Should any change be unacceptable to you, please stop using and accessing the Websites.

These Terms were originally written in English (NZ). We may translate these terms into other languages. In the event of a conflict between a translated version of these Terms and the English version, the English version will control.

You must accept these terms and conditions to complete your registration to attend the Event.
