Target Fundamentals – Remote Training

New to Target or just looking for a refresher?
Join us in this instructor-led remote course to learn how to use key surface mapping tools, including working with databases, assigning projection information, and creating and displaying gridded data. Drillhole data management tools for importing collar, survey, from-to, and point data and the QA/QC of drillhole data are also covered.
The course also focuses on handling drillhole data to quickly and easily create plan maps, section maps, fence diagrams, strip logs and 3D maps. Working with prepared drillhole projects, participants will explore additional topics for managing and mapping drillhole projects. Implicit and explicit modelling of drillhole data are also covered.
Registration includes complimentary access to Target for the duration of the course. This course will be delivered as 4-hour sessions run over the course of 4 days 4 x 4hr = 16 hr total.
To make the most of this course, please ensure you have a stable internet connection, and a secondary screen is highly recommended. To ensure a quality training experience for all participants, courses are capped at 6 attendees. Once the registration limit is reached, additional registrants will be added and notified that they are on a waiting list.
Geoff Plastow, Senior Geophysicist at Seequent.
Geoff is a professional Geophysicist with over 10 years’ experience in mining exploration and applied geophysics. Geoff has an educational background in Computer Science and Geophysics.
He started his career processing and interpreting near-surface seismic data contributing to the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program in Canada. Moving into exploration Geophysics, he has experience with airborne and ground geophysical data specializing in Electromagnetic, Potential Fields and Radiometric techniques.
Geoff has been using Oasis montaj for over 10 years and is an active member of the Geophysical community and the Geosoft GX Development Community. In 2018 Geoff joined Seequent and is based in Vancouver, Canada. In his current role as Senior Geophysicist he contributes to training, project assistance, and supporting users globally.
