Geological modeling with drillholes + What’s new in Geo? (Live remote demo – Roundup 2021)
18 January 2021 @ 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm PST
During this demo, we’ll show you how to quickly generate a dynamic geological model directly from drillhole data. Geological units to be modeled include an erosional surface, a vein system, and 2 diorite intrusions. Wrap up the demo with a tour of the newest features in Leapfrog Geo, and chat about upcoming features.
Presenters: Anna Kutkiewicz & Sarah Conolly, Senior Project Geologists at Seequent
Anna is a geologist specialising in mineral exploration. She holds a Master’s in Economic Geology (University of Tasmania), and a Bachelor’s in Geology (Colorado College). Anna has experience on exploration projects from greenfields to prefeasibility, and due diligence/porfolio growth to advanced production. She specialises in base metals with 4 years working in MVT style (Mississippi Valley Type) exploration in brownfields/production environments, prefeasibility modeling and reporting on SEDEX and VMS deposits, and porphyry/skarn systems and coal exploration in Australia. Anna is an expert Leapfrog user and is in her 4th year with Seequent, having begun her experience at the company in the Software Development office (HQ) in Christchurch, New Zealand. Now working with the North American team, Anna trains Leapfrog users around the continent and provides support and development of user modeling projects, workflow assistance, and technical troubleshooting.
Sarah is a geologist with over ten years’ experience in industry, primarily in underground mines. She started her career at The Lisheen Zinc and Lead Mine, in Ireland, before moving to Australia to work with narrow vein gold deposits in various underground mines. She has experience in underground mapping and sampling, drill hole logging, drill program planning and management, data management and validation, QAQC, geological modelling and grade control estimation. She has a sound understanding of the importance of quality geological data and interpretation, and where it fits into a production environment. Sarah joined Seequent in 2018. She is an expert Leapfrog user and in her current role as a Senior Project Geologist she is involved with training, developing specific workflows through project assistance and providing technical support to users across North America.
