Contaminants extension for Leapfrog Works – Technical learning webinar series (Free Registration)

Recurring event see all

2 June 2021 @ 10:00 am to 11:00 am PDT

Join us for this 3-part technical webinar series designed for you to learn how to bring contaminant data directly into your Leapfrog Works 3D geological models and characterise, visualise, and create auditable estimates of contaminant mass and location in land and groundwater environments.

Each session will include a live Q&A at the end, and you’ll get access to a Free 30-day trial to Leapfrog Works and the Contaminants extension on 18th May 2021 before the start of this webinar.

The technical webinars will be delivered as 3 standalone modules. By registering, you will be able to attend all 3 webinars and receive the recordings for each of them if you’re unable to attend a live session.

Technical Learning webinar 1

19 May – 10:00am-11:00am PDT

This session will cover:

  • Setting up initial parameters for the contaminants extension
  • Build two domains through:
  • Geostatistical analysis – Unit-based data interrogation of our contaminant intervals in relation to our geological model and water table model
  • Constructing a numeric model – Build a volume using values above environmental cut-offs.

Technical Learning webinar 2

26 May – 10:00am-11:00am PDT

This session will cover:

  • Navigating the Contaminant Model folder in the project tree
  • Building two kriging estimators:
  • Ordinary Kriging estimator using our more constrained domain
  • Simple Kriging estimator using our less-constrained domain
  • Explanation and guidance constructing variograms for both estimators
  • Building a Block Model
  • Evaluating the Geological Model and estimators onto your Block Model

Technical Learning webinar 3

2 June – 10:00am-11:00am PDT

This session will cover:

  • Calculations and filters – Build calculations and filters specific to the Block Model for visualisation and reporting
  • Block interrogation – Select a block and view the samples used to inform it in the scene and in a report
  • Statistics
  • Run block model statistics to compare different estimation workflows
  • Build a swath plot
  • Reports – Build and export reports in Leapfrog
  • Cross sections – Construct a report-ready cross section with boreholes, contaminant intervals, and the Block Model overlain on the Geological Model

As an introduction to these 3 technical webinars, you’ll get access to a video to watch after registering giving some introductory technical aspects of the Contaminants extension.
